Volunteer to Support the Sangha!

From special events to weekly practice and everything behind the scenes, volunteers are essential to helping Bright Way Zen function both online and in person. You can volunteer as often or as infrequently as you wish and as your time allows. Even an hour each quarter helps keep the Sangha running!

Here are some of the ways you can volunteer:

In person:

• Opening and closing up the Dirt Zendo
• Greeting members and newcomers before events
• Cleaning the Zendo
• Assisting with maintenance of the BWZ property (mowing, trimming, gardening, trash cleanup, minor repairs, etc.)
• Sangha connector: Ensuring Zoom connection is working within the Dirt Zendo
• Jikido: Timekeeper (ringing bells to signify practice beginning and ending)
• Fukudo: Leading chant singing

In the Cloud:

• Cloud Zendo host: Hosting Zoom portion of events
• Videographer
• Recording editor
• Kokyo: Spoken chant leader
