To the left are the Kanji (Japanese characters) for our temple name; in the middle is the Japanese pronunciation, and to the right is the English translation(s). While "Bright Way Zen" refers to our Sangha and activities, "Bright Way Temple" refers to a place. The temple seals say "Sho Do Ji" (in Kanji) and are used on certificates like those given with the precepts when people formally become Buddhists, in order to indicate where the ceremony took place.
