Our Bright Way Zen Sangha is a garden; our members help it grow and flourish!
Tending to a garden is seasonal. Fall garden work is focused on tidying and preparing the soil so that we may reap plentiful crops in the new year. As days get shorter, we reflect on the harvest of this year and begin the work to nourish the soil for the new year.
In 2024 Bright Way Zen

Offered two term-student programs, four guided practice groups, one Sesshin, and the first continuous practice retreat.

Celebrated Jinryu’s Shuso Hossen ceremony and fourteen new bodhisattva precept recipients.

Marked Domyo’s third annual sabbatical month with a popular Sangha Voices series.

Released a ten-year strategic plan.

Announced the fourth annual fundraiser!
The ten-year strategic plan is the result of much discussion and hours of work. It ensures that Bright Way Zen will be here, in the Cloud and in the Dirt, for many years to come. The way forward requires each of us to take ownership of the garden, to weed and water and tend, so that we are fed in the year to come.
The 2024 fundraiser goal is to raise $20,000 between Monday, November 18, and Monday, December 2 which will support a healthy garden bed for the strategic plans to flourish.
Please help ensure that no matter where you are in the world, Bright Way Zen will remain a steadfast refuge for you in Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.

- Choose Edit Recurring Donation from the dropdown menu and follow the steps. Click Set up recurring donation to start a recurring pledge.
