On Sunday, May 12th, 2013, two Bright Way Zen members received the Zen precepts in a Jukai Ceremony and became lay Zen Buddhists. Congratulations to Sean and Bella. Ten other people attended even though it was Mother's Day and the Dalai Lama was speaking in downtown Portland! The wagessas were made by Bright Way members who took the precepts last year, Amy, Trish and Ellen. Jim helped with set-up, Amy took pictures, and So'on was precentor.
