Really Practicing “The Practice” – one of my main challenges (and maybe everyone else’s too), and therefore my main focus, is nyohō: bringing the practice to bear on the mundanities of everyday life. It’s one thing to set intentions on the cushion, but how does it actually manifest when the kids are fighting, the laundry’s piled up and dinner is burning? And how does our ability to handle those fairly small things teach us to handle the bigger things? I’ll share some of my personal stories around this and ask the sangha to share some of theirs, so we can learn from each other as we navigate The Way.
