Dharma Cloud Lineage

The Dharma Cloud lineage has its origins in Roshi Jiyu Kennett (click here to read our lineage history) and passes through Kyogen and Gyokuko Carlson,  founding abbots of Dharma Rain Zen Center. Kyogen, Gyokuko and Jiyu Kennett all share the “Way” name (part of a dharma name) “Houn,” which means Dharma Cloud. Read about our lineage here.
